Catching Prayers by Trisha Rapley...

And somehow it just all works out and I know that's how faith works. You pray about it, you talk to Jesus over and over about it, and he makes it happen.

I guess it hasn't always been easy for me to let go and allow Jesus to take control and I know for certain it's because I needed to be in control of things with the hope I could prevent the worst from happening - well so I thought.

How incredibly wrong I was all those years but that's life until you are willing to accept Jesus into your heart I guess you're never really alive. I know through prayers I am most alive because my belief in Jesus makes me feel whole.

They're not just prayers to me they are something much, much more. Magic, maybe. Hope is like that, you know. It is endless as are our prayers to Jesus. I guess they go hand in hand.

I've also come to realise that having a firm hand on your heart while praying for me brings a sense of closeness that just praying can't and it may sound silly to others but for me, I'll do whatever it takes to feel the closeness only Jesus can provide in the times I need him.

I do the same with my bible when I finished reading it. I place my hand over the cover while closing it and say "Thank you, Father", a little routine I've had forever.

Prayers are such an important part of our journey in or to faith but so are the small things you do while trying to be closer to Jesus.
