Humility Micah 6:8 - Personal blog of Trisha Rapley, Australian Author.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.

And what does the Lord require of you?

To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Micah 6:8

Humility has taught me how to walk without proving, to exist without explaining, to trust God to defend what He ordained.

I no longer strive to be seen. I let my life speak where my voice once tried.

I walk gently, not smaller, but surrendered, knowing that what is meant for me does not require force.

This is my offering: a quiet obedience, a steady heart, a life that leaves room for God’s glory to be seen instead of mine.

Brown brings me back to the soil where You first shaped life with intention. It reminds me that humility is not humiliation, but the place where Your hands work best. Slowly. Purposefully. Lovingly. Brown teaches me patience with becoming. That formation takes time. That growth hidden beneath the surface is not absence of progress. It is preparation. Prayer: Lord, form me with care. Help me trust Your hands when I cannot yet see the outcome.

Lord,

Keep my heart humble and my spirit teachable.

Free me from the need for validation and help me rest in your approval alone.

Teach me to walk gently, faithfully, and confidently under your guidance.

Amen.

Brown is where my pride dissolves.
It is the reminder that You work best
in yielded soil.
From dust You shape purpose,
and from humility You grow strength.

Prayer:
Form me patiently,
even when growth feels slow.
