Love Leviticus 17:11 - Personal blog of Trisha Rapley, Australian Author.

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.

Leviticus 17:11

I have learned that love does not rush to be seen.

It waits.

It listens.

It stays when leaving would be easier.

Love does not demand proof or keep a record of what it gives.

It bends toward kindness, even when misunderstood, even when unseen.

I love now not to be chosen, but because I already am, chosen by God, taught by Him how to remain gentle in a world that often rewards hardness.

This is how I show up: patient, kind, faithful in small moments, loving not for applause, but because love is obedience when it is rooted in Him.

Lord,

Teach me to love as you love, patiently, gently, and without condition.

Guard my heart from pride or expectation, and help my love reflect your grace rather than my emotions.

Let my actions speak your love clearly, even when my efforts go unnoticed.

Teach me to love as you love, Lord, not safely, but faithfully.

Amen.

Red is the colour of love that stayed.

Love that did not retreat when it saw the cost.

It speaks of veins opened for redemption, of mercy written in sacrifice,

of a God who loved us enough to bleed.

This is not love that flinches at pain.

This is love that binds itself to us, even when we are unfaithful.

Prayer: Teach me to love as You love— not safely, but faithfully.
