The Quiet Current Song of Songs 1:2 - Personal blog of Trisha Rapley, Australian Author.

Your words do not simply touch me; they linger, curling through the cords of my heart, slipping between bones like threads of fire, tangling themselves in places I thought only I could reach.

Every sentence, every quiet laugh, pulls me closer into an orbit I have secretly longed for, and my body remembers even before my mind does.

There is a language in the way energy flows between us—a current that moves without touch, that dances in the glance of your eyes, that hums in the brush of your hand near mine. It is electric, insistent, intimate, and it awakens a hunger in my soul that no words could ever satisfy fully, yet which I am grateful to feel.

I watch you, and I feel the architecture of connection forming—the silent foundations of something profound, built in stolen smiles, in the warmth of proximity, in whispered confessions that do not need words.

Even when your presence is absent, I feel the echo of it, like a pulse inside me that refuses to quiet. Every look you give, every subtle curve of your lips, beckons me into surrender, to give myself fully to this feeling that is both tender and consuming.

Touch amplifies what words cannot convey, but even in absence, your energy moves through me—lighting nerves, stirring anticipation, coiling around my ribs, my spine, my heart. I am captivated by the simplicity of a smile, the gravity of a glance, the way your laughter vibrates somewhere deep in my chest, and suddenly, I am undone.

All at once, exhilarated and tender, drawn to you not by possession, but by the sacred magnetism of being fully present together.

I feel this intimacy not as something fleeting, but as a quiet covenant forming in secret, a foundation laid with every shared moment, every brush of hands, every whispered “hello” that resonates longer than time allows.

This is more than desire—it is recognition, it is the soul acknowledging its mirror, it is a communion of warmth, of electricity, of a subtle power that moves without words but leaves the heart full and trembling.

And here I am, finally, in your presence, aware of every subtle gesture, every tilt of your head, every glance that speaks volumes in silence. I am awake to the way energy tangles us together, how longing and admiration and curiosity coexist in the same pulse.

And I know, without asking, that this is just the beginning: the building of something unseen yet undeniable, a connection that grows in whispers, in touches, in the electricity of being fully seen by another.

Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth— for your love is more delightful than wine.

Song of Songs 1:2

Lord,

Thank you for the gift of desire, of connection, of energy that transcends words.

Bless these moments of intimacy, both tender and electric, that they may honour the hearts and souls involved.

Teach me to hold longing with reverence, to embrace closeness with discernment, and to allow love, admiration, and desire to flow in ways that are sacred, joyful, and true.

Let every glance, every touch, every shared smile reflect the beauty and depth of your creation in human hearts.

Amen.
