Love Is The Antidote - Personal blog of Trisha Rapley, Australian Author.

You really just have to love people, especially. After all, they deserve it, because they truly do, and regardless of whether they’ve chosen a different path for themselves or not, you can never hold anything against them.

You can love someone so much and still accept that their peace and healing needs to be a priority, setting aside your needs entirely to protect theirs.

People deserve gentleness and love while healing through the trauma they’re currently facing, and nothing they do should ever be about you.

They are facing the hardest time in their life, and your priority is to be there no matter how much or how little they need you.

I’m not saying to remove your own personal boundaries; instead, gain perspective from their shoes because no one deserves to sit alone in the darkness, not ever.

I pray that if you ever get the opportunity to sit with those who are broken and in distress, you choose them. Not only does it change who we become once they are peaceful, but it changes them, too.

It provides them hope in a situation that would otherwise destroy them.

The antidote to pain and suffering is and always will be love.
